Cops arrest murder accused within 36 hours of crime

Prayagraj: Prayagraj police have claimed to have successfully solved within 36 hours the murder case that took place in Gumti number 40 under Tharwai police station area. The accused has been arrested by the joint police team of Tharvai police and SOG Ganganagar.
Police have also recovered one illegal pistol (.32 bore) and a live cartridge (.32) bore, along with a motorcycle from the possession of the accused.
According to Prayagraj police, it was at 09.30 am on August 30, that the accused Ram Singh (aged around 28) alias Raj Yadav alias Shakti Singh of Ramapur Gaura police station of Fatanpur (Pratapgarh) had shot his former acquaintance Pankaj Kumar Yadav, resident of Teliarganj over a petty dispute at a dispensary located at Gumti number 40. The dispute between the two was related to buying and selling of a mobile worth Rs 5000.
A police team was constituted by the Ganganagar deputy commissioner of police (DCP) for nabbing the accused Ram Singh and recovering the murder weapon.
According to police, it was on Thursday that the joint police team of Thana Tharwai and SOG Ganganagar arrested Singh from near a culvert under Thana Tharwai.tnn
