Huge tents, sanitisation to make Mahakumbh-2025 extra special
Prayagraj: It will not only be the mammoth number of devotees expected to arrive at Mahakumbh- 2025, but the mega religious event would be special in various other aspects too. Among a number of facilities, Mahakumbh would have state of the art tents and the sanitation of the entire mela area would be making it extra special. In a meeting, chaired by Mahakumbh Meladhikari, Vijay Kiran Anand and attended by over 20 vendors across the country, who have an expertise in the field of installing tents and santisation work, was held at Integrated Control and Command Centre of the Sangam city on Tuesday evening. In another important meeting, it has been decided that the Mela Authority would be purchasing or taking land from the army on lease. During Mahakumbh, special tents and pandals would be installed in different sectors of the vast mela area. During Kumbh 2019, the mela area had 22 sectors which could be the same or few more in 2025, says an official of the mela authority. These special tents and pandals would be installed for tourists, devotees, prominent seers and religious organisations. .The vendors who attended the meeting have experience of installing large sized pandals and tents in fairs held in Prayagraj, Indore, Ahmedabad, Ujjain, Haridwar, Delhi, Nashik etc. Separate meetings were held regarding the projects of Municipal Corporation, PDA, Health and Medical College. So far more than 400 projects, worth about Rs 2,500 crores have been approved. Some of these projects need army land for which another meeting was held in which higher officials of the Ministry of Defense were connected virtually from DelhiIn the meeting, discussion was held on taking army land on license, lease, purchase and other models. According to this, Prayagraj Mela Authority will buy land at the rate of Re 1 to Rs 1000 per square metre. The rate will be decided by the Ministry of Defense according to the utility of the land. Defense Ministry officials also assured to settle all the land cases in two weeks. Army land will be taken in these projects including IERT and Cheoki ROB’s, Marine Drive on the banks of Ganga, parking, widening of 16 roads in parade area and near bade Hanuman temple, Mankameshwar temple, expansion of Dwadash Madhav temple, renovation and beautification, construction of electrical sub-stations.
