A notification issued by the Union ministry of law and justice on June 10, 2021, said the President is pleased to appoint Shri Sanjay Yadav, judge of Allahabad high court to be the Chief Justice of Allahabad high court with effect from the date he assumes charge of this office.

Justice Sanjay Yadav was transferred to Allahabad high court on January 8, 2021.
