NEW DELHI: Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani on Tuesday performed seva at the ISKCON camp at Sangam during Maha Kumbh.

The Adani Group, in collaboration with ISKCON, is offering free meals under the 'Mahaprasad Seva' initiative for the entire duration of the spiritual gathering, from January 13 to February 26.


Expressing his enthusiasm for the event, Adani said, “I am very, very excited for the Mahakumbh.” Calling the Kumbh a sacred hub of devotion and service, he added, “It is my good fortune that we are starting the Mahaprasad Seva for the devotees in collaboration with ISKCON.”


The Mahaprasad Seva aims to serve 50 lakh devotees, with meals prepared at two large kitchens and distributed at 40 locations across the mela area.

The Mahaprasad Seva is expected to feed 1 lakh devotees daily.

The initiative involves 2,500 volunteers, golf carts for differently-abled devotees and mothers with children, and the distribution of five lakh copies of Geeta Saar.

Thanking ISKCON for their partnership, Adani said, “With the blessings of Maa Annapurna, free food will be provided to lakhs of devotees. Seva is the highest form of patriotism, meditation, and prayer. In the true sense, seva is God.”


Guru Prasad Swamiji praised Adani’s humility and commitment to social service. "The Adani Group has always been a shining example of corporate responsibility. Gautam Adani’s work inspires us to unite in the service of humanity," he said, quoting ancient texts that emphasize the duty of serving others through one's wealth, energy, and efforts.

Beyond the Mahaprasad initiative, the Adani Group is also distributing one crore aarti collections in collaboration with Geeta Press. During his visit, Adani performed 'Bhandara Seva' at the ISKCON Pandal, worshipped at the Triveni Sangam, and visited the Bade Hanuman Mandir.

The Maha Kumbh mela, one of the world's largest spiritual congregations, attracts millions of devotees. Adani’s involvement highlights the growing emphasis on corporate participation in community service, with ISKCON’s support amplifying the scale and impact of this initiative.
