Andhra Pradesh: Kadapa police fish out two bodies from Gandikota backwaters

TIRUPATI: Kadapa police fished out the bodies of a middle aged man and a middle aged woman after three days of nonstop rescue operations to locate two missing

persons

linked to a boat capsize incident reported at the

Gandikota

backwaters in

Kadapa district

on Saturday.

It may be recalled that three persons belonging to Talla Proddatur village in Kondapuram mandal were moving in a country made boat which capsized in the Gandikota backwaters about three days ago.

After one person identified as B Srinivas managed to reach safety and informed the local police, rescue operations to locate the two other missing persons was launched by the Kadapa police led by additional SP M Deva Prasad on 16th June and the local police managed to locate the bodies of the two missing persons on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as B Suhasini (32) and Goverdhan Reddy (29).

Police shifted the bodies of the deceased to the local government hospital for postmortem.
