Chief minister to inaugurate 15 new mega industrial units at Sri City
TIRUPATI: Giving a solid thrust to industrial progress in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Chief minister Nara Chandrababu will inaugurate 15 new mega industrial units at the Sri City integrated business city and special economic zone in Tirupati district on Monday.
Naidu will also lay the foundation stone for the establishment of seven new companies at Sri City on the sidelines of his visit.
According to the state govt, these companies will be established with an investment of 900 crore and will create employment opportunities to about 2740 people.
The AP govt will also sign MoUs with four other companies which would invest Rs.1213 crore at Sri City.
Naidu will also take part in the business leaders meet during his visit to Sri City.
This business leaders meet assumes significance as the Chief minister recently announced that the AP govt would set up a task force with industry leaders to foster economic development in the state and meet the goals of Viksit Andhra Pradesh-2047.
Industrial progress at Sri City was on a fast-track mode between 2014-2019 when the TDP led NDA govt was in power. Between that five years period, the then AP govt signed MoUs with several companies, aimed at bringing in an investment of Rs.5325 crore to provide employment opportunities to more than 10000 people.
