According to the TTD sources, devotees were waiting in only 10 compartments at the Vaikuntam Q complex on Saturday morning and the waiting time for darshan was taking approximately 12 hours.

Though the weekend coincided with the Moharram holiday and heavy pilgrim rush was expected to throng the hill town this weekend, cancellation or diversion of several trains and buses etc due to the prevailing flood situation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, led to a decline in the pilgrim footfall at Tirumala.

Meanwhile, about 69378 devotees worshipped at the Tirumala temple on Friday and the Tirupati trust received a Hundi collection of Rs.3.76 crore.
