Kuppam Assembly Election Result 2024: INC's A Govindharajulu to take on TDP's Chandrababu Naidu Nara
Kuppam, located in Chittoor district is one of the 175 assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.
Categorized as a General assembly seat, it is an assembly segment of Chittooru (SC) parliament seat.
The voting in Kuppam in the Assembly election 2024 took place on April 19.
Chandrababu Naidu Nara of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), K.R.J. Bharath of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), and A Govindharajulu of Indian National Congress (INC) are among the key candidates contesting from Kuppam in the Assembly election 2024.
In the Assembly election 2019, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu of TDP won the seat with 1,00,146 votes (55.18% vote share). YSRCP candidate Krishna Chandra Mouli stood in second position receiving 69,424 votes (38.25% vote share). The margin of votes between the two candidates was 30,722.
According to the 2011 Census, there are approximately 31,269 SC voters (14.67%) and 6,181 ST voters, constituting 2.9% of the total population in Kuppam.
Rural voters and urban voters are approximately 196,755 (92.31% of the total population) and 16,412 (7.7% of the population) respectively as per 2011 Census.
There were a total of 213146 voters in Kuppam in the Assembly election 2019.
85.15% voter turnout was recorded in Kuppam in the Assembly election 2019.
