Police arrest four on rape and murder charges of missing woman in Kadiyam

RAJAHMUNDRY: The police have solved the mystery of missing woman in Kadiyam in East Godavari district. The police have arrested four persons for raping 43 year-old woman and later killing her.

The victim came to Kadiyam nurseries 20 years ago from Odisha for living. On the evening of 15 of this month, the woman was going back to home from nurseries in Burri Lanka of Kadiyam mandal in East Godavari district.

Four miscreants who were under the influence of alcohol and workers of nurseries raped her in the nurseries. Later, they killed her with the fear that she might recognise them and thrown her body in the agricultural canal. The family members have lodged missing complaint on 16 of this month and her body was found at the locks of Choppella.

The police have interrogated the accused and the culprits have admitted that they have raped and killed the woman. The police have produced the four accused before the court and they were remanded for 14 days.
