Andhra Pradesh: Red sanders logs worth Rs 1.2 crore seized in Chittoor

TIRUPATI: Police on Saturday seized red sanders logs weighing two tons and worth approximately Rs 1.2 crore in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district.

Police also seized a mini truck, two cars, and a bike from the possession of the accused.

The district police arrested eight red sanders smugglers, including the main smuggler identified as E Ganjendra, near the Murakambattu-Cherlopalli road early on Saturday.

Chittoor SP Y Rishanth Reddy IPS warned red sanders smugglers to refrain from smuggling activities or be prepared for tough police action.
