'Tell children stories of Puranic heroes not Batman, Spiderman': AP CM Chandrababu Naidu says Ramayana, Mahabharata surpass Avatar
TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu predicted that India would become the number one country in the world by 2047. CM made these predictions on the sidelines of the Bharatiya Vignan Sammelan-2025, which got underway at the National Sanskrit university in Tirupati on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, CM said that India has been the global leader for knowledge and wisdom since several hundreds of centuries ago. He said Nalanda university got established 1600 years ago and that Yoga has been practiced in India since 2900 yrs now.
Naidu said the Bharatiya Vignan Sammelan was a right platform to bring the best of minds in the fields of science education and various other diverse fields together to devise a roadmap for Bharat to emerge as a global leader in science and technology.
Stating that at a point of time when several countries were facing the aging population problem, Naidu asserted that India has a strategic advantage with a young population and maintained that population has to be seen as an asset now.
“Govt of AP has devised a roadmap to advance the state in the fields of Artificial intelligence, Quantum computing, green energy etc. Space city, drone city, aerospace city, Electronic City, med tech parks are being established across AP”, CM noted.
CM said “Lord Hanuman is more powerful than Superman or Spider-Man. Arjuna is a greater warrior than Batman or Iron Man. The Ramayana and Mahabharata surpass even the Avatar series. Children should be told stories of heroes from Puranas and not about Batman, Spiderman and Superman”, he added.
RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat, union minister of state Jitendra Singh and others took part.
Meanwhile, CM inaugurated the new district police office and later on paid tributes to former TTD board member NTR Raju-who recently passed away due to old age health issues in Tirupati recently.
