TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which took serious note of the allegations levelled against the Srivani trust, announced that it would soon release a white paper on the Srivani trust funds.
TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy told reporters on Monday that Sri Venkateswara Alayala Nirmanam trust was set up to establish new temples, renovate ancient temples and contribute to the propagation of the Hindu Sanathana Dharma and the glory of Lord Venkateswara across the country.
From the donations received through this trust, TTD has so far constructed 2,445 temples in AP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Karnataka and other states.
Apart from constructing small temples, TTD has also been allocating funds for renovation of ancient temples across the country.
While all activities and funds disbursement through this trust are carried out in a transparent manner, certain political parties are levelling allegations against the Srivani trust to target the state government.
"The temple trust has taken a serious note of these allegations which has led to confusion and heartburn among devotees. It will initiate legal action against those involved in this smear campaign", Subba Reddy said.
The TTD chairman clarified that the temple trust will release a white paper on the Srivani trust funds to prove that all transactions under the trust are carried out in transparent manner.
