AMRITSAR: A Delhi court has directed the economic offences wing (EOW) to register an FIR against Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) former president and BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa and others.

The court of additional chief metropolitan magistrate, Rouse Avenue, Delhi has directed registration of FIR while allowing an application filed by another former president of DSGMC, Manjit Singh GK, under Section 156 (3) of CrPC.

Manjit had filed a complaint against Sirsa, Avtar Singh Hit, president of Takht Shri Patna Sahib Management Committee, Patna Sahib, Bihar; and Sudeep Singh, media advisor of DSGMC.

The complainant alleged that Sirsa and Hit had forged his signature on the letter head of DSGM on April 4, 2016, with regards to a property of Guru Harkrishan Public School, Hari Nagar, New Delhi .

The court has directed the police to file a compliance report along with the copy of FIR during next hearing on August 25.

A former SAD leader, Sirsa, in the recent past, had joined BJP.
