SGPC to present Siropa to Jagmeet Singh Dhaliwal

here today said that mini-parliament of the Sikhs would present a Siropa (robe of honour) to Jagmeet Singh Dhaliwal who has been elected leader of the

New Democratic Party

(

NDP

) of

Canada

whenever he visits the Golden Temple.

Badungar said that it was a matter of great pride for the Sikh community that an Amritdhari Sikh had risen to great heights.

In reply to a query, Badungar said it was quite unfortunate that Jagmeet has been denied Indian Visa by the government in 2013. He said that the SGPC would soon write a letter to the Prime Minister, the External Affairs Minister and the Home Minister in this regard seeking an unrestricted visa for the Canadian Sikh leaders.
