SHAHJAHANPUR: Police have booked
NSUI district president
Irfan Hussain along with three other students for allegedly molesting a minor college girl in
Shahjahanpur
city. When the minor raised objection, the accused threatened her that she won’t be allowed to enter the college. The video of the incident has been circulating on social media. Police is investigating the case.
Meanwhile,
NSUI national secretary Vishal Chaudhary suspended Hussain. In his letter, Chaudhary mentioned that allegations of misconduct were made by a girl student and as per disciplinary procedure Hussain was suspended. The matter has been handed over to NSUI disciplinary committee for further investigation.
This issue came into light when two student groups were arguing outside GF Degree College and the college staff had to call police to control the situation.
SHO Sadar Bazar police station Jasveer Singh said, “We have filed an FIR against NSUI district president Irfan Hussain and three of his friends under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and POCSO Act. The victim informed that the accused threatened her in front of several students and teachers outside GF Degree College.”
