2 youths & minor rob student of mobile phone in Bengaluru, held
Bengaluru: City police Sunday arrested two youths and a juvenile on charges of robbing a student of his mobile phone in Ramamurthy Nagar earlier in the day.
The victim, Dheeraj, a BBA student at a private college and resident of Banjara Layout, was waiting for his friends at Outer Ring Road around 3am. They had planned to visit Hoskote to have biriyani. “The three accused persons suddenly ambushed Dheeraj and snatched his mobile phone. During the fight, they stabbed Dheeraj on the hand. Other commuters on the road alerted police and shifted Dheeraj to a hospital, where he is recovering,” an investigating officer said.
Two of the accused, Bhuvan and Mithun, are both aged 23 and are residents of Janakiram Layout.
