Address garbage disposal on priority: Karnataka Lokayukta

Bengaluru: In the backdrop of innumerable complaints on garbage being unscientifically dumped across five city corporations, Lokayukta BS Patil Friday visited several places and directed Greater Bengaluru Authoirty (GBA) officials and others to address the issue at the earliest.
According to a Lokayukta press note, five teams have been formed to study the garbage issue in the five corporations. “During the visit, six black spots were located in and around RT Nagar, Byatarayanapura and Anandanagar. Residents from Vishveshwarayanagar complained that during rain, the storm water drain oveflows, flooding their houses with drain water. Lokayukta directed officials to solve the issue quickly and submit a report,” the press note said.
