NEW DELHI: The seized 30 , including , Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Austin, and Range Rover, for operating without paying required taxes during an operation conducted on Sunday.
The operation was led by Transport Deputy Commissioner C Mallikarjun, who worked with a team of 41 officials. Regional Transport Officers B Srinivas Prasad, Deepak, Srinivasappa, and Ranjit were part of the enforcement team.
"These cars were being driven in the state without paying the required taxes and a notice has been issued to recover approximately Rs 3 crore in taxes from the seized vehicles," a senior department official said.
The department's action comes as part of their efforts to enforce tax compliance among luxury vehicle owners in Bengaluru.
