BENGALURU: Kalasipalya police arrested two persons for allegedly stealing valuables such as mobile phones and gold from passengers in crowded buses.

The accused are Abdul Rahim Khan, 27, and Mani alias Appu, 21, both residents of Mysuru Road. Police recovered 215 grams of gold, one two-wheeler, and one mobile phone, all worth about Rs 12 lakh, from them. Cops said the suspects stole a mobile phone from a 17-year-old student on a bus at Kalasipalya on August 26. Police claim to have solved seven cases — four reported in Upparpet police station and one case each in Kalasipalya, Kengeri, and Chamarajpet stations. tnn
