Namibia put it across Karnataka

Bengaluru: Karnataka went down by five wickets to Namibia in the final last match of the five-match one-day series at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek on Sunday. Having taken the series 3-1 with a match to spare, Karnataka experimented with the team composition, resting key pacers like Vidwath Kaverappa and Vyshak Vijaykumar. But they failed to come together as a team. Asked to bat, Karnataka were bundled out for 231 in 48.1 overs. The in-form Nikin Jose, who finished the series with 377 runs, was the top-scorer with 61, while Kishan Bedare contributed 43. For the hosts, Bernard Scholtz and Handre Klazinge picked up three wickets apiece. In reply, the home team cruised to victory in 39.1 overs.
