Nazara Q4 revenue down 17%, profit grew 13 fold to Rs 56 crore

Bengaluru: Nazara Technologies reported a 79% rise in revenue to Rs 3,073 crore for FY26, aided by a sharp increase in other income during the year. Profit for the year rose 61% to Rs 82 crore.

For the March quarter, revenue stood at Rs 448 crore, down 17% year-on-year, while profit surged more than 13-fold to Rs 56 crore. The company said quarterly revenue was impacted by the divestment of its esports subsidiary Nodwin Gaming last year.

“We will double in FY27, both in terms of revenues and Ebitda, not even accounting for any growth,” chief executive Nitish Mittersain told TOI, referring to the upcoming consolidation of Spain-based gaming companies Bluetile and BestPlay into Nazara’s financials.

Nazara reported Ebitda of Rs 255 crore for FY26, up 66% year-on-year, while quarterly Ebitda rose 52% to Rs 78 crore.

The company said gaming contributed 90% of Ebitda in FY26, up from 56% a year earlier, reflecting its growing focus on gaming businesses spanning mobile gaming, PC and console publishing, and offline gaming. Mittersain said gaming could contribute nearly all of Nazara’s Ebitda after the Bluetile and BestPlay consolidation. “It will become 99%,” he said.

Nazara has spent the past year simplifying parts of its broader portfolio following a period marked by acquisitions, restructuring and changes in subsidiary holdings. “It was a turbulent year. It was not an easy year,” Mittersain said, referring to developments including the deconsolidation of Nodwin Gaming and impairment related to PokerBaazi parent Moonshine. He added that Nazara plans to gradually divest non-core businesses and redeploy capital into gaming.

Globally, gaming companies remain cautious after an industry slowdown triggered partly by Apple’s IDFA privacy changes, which made targeted advertising and user acquisition more difficult for mobile gaming firms. Mittersain said the current environment of layoffs and cost rationalisation across gaming companies was also creating opportunities to acquire gaming assets and talent at more attractive valuations.
