Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) chief commissioner Tushar Giri Nath has directed officials to complete the roadwork near Jakkur Cross in three months.
Giri Nath, who inspected several development works in Yelahanka zone, reviewed the roadwork being carried out from Jakkur Cross to Krishna Sagar and further up to Kempegowda Circle. He directed officials to complete the works, including underground drainage and pedestrianisation, in three months.
He inspected parks at MEHCS Layout and instructed officials to develop the lung spaces. He also asked officials to prepare a detailed project report to develop a road connecting MEHCS Layout to Arkavathy Layout.
Giri Nath cited a delay in land acquisition for the construction of a railway overbridge at Jakkur and asked officials to expedite the process to acquire 10 pockets of land. So far, 38 pieces have been acquired. He also inspected several waterlogging spots in the zone and asked officials to desilt drains causing the problem.
