Bomb scare in schools

At least 45 private schools in Bengaluru received an email containing a bomb threat, causing panic among both staff and parents on the premises.

Bomb disposal squads reach schools

Upon receiving the bomb threat, the school authorities promptly notified the police. Subsequently, law enforcement teams, including bomb disposal squads and anti-sabotage check teams, quickly reached the concerned institutions.

Students, staff evacuated

Upon receiving the alert, both students and staff were swiftly evacuated from the school premises, as stated by the police. It was emphasized that no suspicious objects have been discovered thus far. Parents hastily rushed to the schools in a state of panic, eager to ensure the safe return of their children back home.

Threat via email

According to a senior police officer, the email asserted the presence of explosives within the school premises. Following a call from the command center, our teams were promptly dispatched to schools situated across various parts of the city. Ensuring the safe evacuation of all students and staff from the school premises, an extensive search operation is currently under way.

Deputy CM takes stock

Deputy chief minister of Karnataka, D K Shivakumar, paid a visit to one of the schools that received the bomb threat. During his visit, he gathered information from both the school authorities and the police to understand the current situation. Shivakumar appealed to parents not to worry and said their children would be safe.

No suspicious items found

As of now, no suspicious items have been discovered, and at first glance, it appears to be a hoax message. Parents are advised not to panic, as our teams are actively on-site, affirmed the police. It's worth noting that last year, certain miscreants sent similar emails alleging bomb threats to schools in Bengaluru, only to be revealed as false messages later on.

The Home ministry must be very careful off such threats, as the primary objective of these goons may be to divert the security personnel away from their scheduled target elsewhere so that they encounter less resistance..Why can't we have a security system who's vigilant 24/7 ( Pro-active instead of Re-active) on the whole 365 days?
