Photographer falls to death from terrace of actor’s building

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old photographer fell to his death on Sunday night under mysterious circumstances from the terrace of a three-floor building in Annapoorneshwari Nagar where Duniya-fame

resides.

Police said Pratheek K, a resident of Bharath Nagar II Stage off Magadi Road, west Bengaluru, fell from the terrace around 11.15pm. Arun Kumar, Rashmi’s brother, told police that he and Pratheek went to terrace around 9.30pm and were drinking beer till 11.15pm. Arun went inside his residence to bring food and returned to the terrace only to find Pratheek missing.

Later, the photographer was found lying on the basement with head injuries and rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment. He was referred to Victoria Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Police were not informed about the incident till 6am on Monday and Pratheek’s parents also alleged foul play in their son’s death. Police have registered a case of suspicious death and are waiting for the autopsy report to know the reason behind his death.

Police said Kumar and his family members were unable to inform Pratheek’s family as his mobile was locked.

According to Pratheek’s relatives, they came to know about the incident around 7.30am from police. “He did photoshoots for Rashmi and became a friend of her brother, Kumar. We are not aware why he was at their residence on Sunday. They took him to hospital directly without informing us or police,” Pratheek’s relative said.

“The viscera and blood samples of Pratheek have been collected and the crime scene was videographed for further investigation,” police said.
