NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party's Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri won the Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha constituency with a margin of 3,37,428 votes.
The Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha constituency, previously referred to as the Canara Lok Sabha constituency, is one of the 28 parliamentary constituencies in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. The constituency underwent a name change following the 2008 delimitation of parliamentary constituencies, highlighting its importance within the state's political sphere.
During the third phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which took place on May 7, Uttara Kannada witnessed an impressive voter turnout of 76.53%.
