‘Will blow up CM Siddaramaiah’s house with suicide bomber’: Bomb threat email sparks security scare at Bengaluru passport office

BENGALURU: A bomb threat email sent to the passport office in Koramangala, Bengaluru, on Thursday triggered a security scare, prompting swift action by law enforcement agencies.

The anonymous message claimed that suicide bombers would target both the passport office and the chief minister Siddaramaiah’s home.

In response, an anti-sabotage team, bomb disposal squad, and local police conducted thorough searches at the mentioned locations.

Authorities later confirmed it was a hoax. No suspicious items were found.

Officials are now working to trace the origin of the email.
