BHOPAL: A 10-year-old girl was kidnapped from a marketplace and raped in Guna district, Madhya Pradesh. The girl went to the market with her mother on Wednesday. According to the information, during this time, an unknown person took the girl with him under false pretences.
The girl was found unconscious in the forest at around 9.30pm. She was admitted to the district hospital and later referred to Bhopal in critical condition. Meanwhile, the police are searching for the accused.
The girl went to the market to sell maize and wheat. On Wednesday night, the Sirsi police station in-charge received information about the incident. The girl was immediately sent to the district hospital for treatment.
The girl's father said that the mother and daughter went to the market to sell maize and get wheat ground. After selling the crop and getting the wheat ground, they were returning home. Meanwhile, an unknown person met them on the way and convinced them to send the girl with him on the grounds that the shopkeeper returned Rs 100 less and he would help to get it back.
The girl was sent with the unknown person, who took her to the forest on his bike and assaulted her. When she did not return for a long time, the father searched for her and found her unconscious in the forest. There were no clothes on her body, and she was bleeding.
The police were informed and are searching for the unknown person. The girl has been referred to Bhopal. A case has been registered under various sections against the unidentified person.
