35-year-old woman and her sister threatened over phone

Bhopal: A 35-year-old Bairagarh based woman and her sister were allegedly being harassed and threatened over the phone by a Gwalior based man for more than 2.5 years. Acting on her complaint, Bairagarh police on Sunday registered a case under relevant sections and started investigations. Investigation officer ASI Praveen Singh said that the complainant works as a schoolteacher. She stated in her complaint that the accused Ashish Ahuja had contacted her family in January 2021, to marry her younger sister and sent his biodata over WhatsApp. They did not like the proposal and rejected him. Since then, Ashish has been threatening and harassing them over the phone. Fed up, she approached Bairagarh police and lodged a complaint, investigations were on.
