BHOPAL: CNG buses connecting Kolar to Ayodhya Bypass (ISRO) was flagged off here on Monday. The Bhopal City Link Limited (BCLL) service will cover a distance of 27 km with 16 stops.

Bhopal mayor Malti Rai flagged off the service from ISBT on Monday. A total of 10 new CNG buses were flagged off. Route will include Ayodhya Nagar, 10 Number Market, Bairagarh Chichli, Danishkunj Chauraha, Shahpura, JK Hospital, Nayapura.

A total of 300 CNG buses have been sanctioned for Bhopal. In the first phase, 40 buses will be introduced as part of already existing 220 bus fleet of BCLL, which is a wholly owned Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) subsidiary.

BMC chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, and BCLL chairman Manoj Rathore were present on the occasion. The route of the bus will cover 10-trips in a day. It will start from ISRO at Ayodhya Nagar passing through Narela Shankari, Inderpuri, ITI, Career College, Board Office, Habibganj, 10 Number Market, Shahpura, Trilanga, JK Hospital, Danishkunj intersection, Nayapura, Bairagarh Chichli and Kajlikhedi (Kolar). About 1.25 lakh travel in city buses every day.
