CM to release funds for 7,832 students under Free e-Scooty Scheme

Bhopal: CM Mohan Yadav will on Thursday release funds for 7,832 students, who topped Class 12 in govt higher secondary schools, under the state's free e-scooty scheme. He will also transfer Rs 61 crore through DBT to the bank accounts of 20,37,439 girls from Class 7 to 12 under the sanitation and hygiene scheme of ‘Samagra Shiksha' on Thursday.The Free e-Scooty/ICES Scheme has been operational in the state since the academic session 2022–23. Under the scheme, students are eligible if they have studied as regular candidates in govt higher secondary schools run by the school education dept or tribal affairs dept and topped in their school's Class 12 board examination (all faculties included). In girls' schools, the topper student is eligible. In boys' schools, the topper boy student is eligible. In co-educational schools, both the topper boy and the topper girl are eligible. For the academic session 2024–25, a total of 7,832 toppers will be awarded scooty funds.In the same programme, Yadav will transfer about Rs 61 crore through DBT to the bank accounts of 20,37,439 girls from Class 7 to 12 under the sanitation and hygiene scheme of ‘Samagra Shiksha'. Under this initiative, girl students of govt schools studying in Classe 7 to 12 are provided Rs 300 annually for personal health and hygiene. The CM will also transfer Rs 7 crore stipend funds into the bank accounts of 20,100 girls.
