Curtains for IPS meet after an evening of dance, music & masti
Bhopal: The two-day IPS meet concluded with individual and group cultural performances at the Police Officers Mess on Thursday.
IPS officers from different districts showcased their talents and won additional points for their four zones — Mahakaushal zone, Chambal zone, Bhopal zone and Malwa zone. From performing contemporary to semi classical and zumba dances, the IPS officers left no stone unturned to put their best foot forward. Many officers also recited poems and sang songs at the meet and received a lot of applause.
DIG Shahdol Range, Pritam Uikey and Dr Mohan Rao sang old Bollywood songs that made the officers nostalgic. DIG (Indore Rural) Sushant Saxena recited Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poem ‘Madhushala’. SSP Indore Ruchi Vardhan and Darshita Shrivastav won the hearts of the audience with their melodies.
“It was a great event. We all were overwhelmed to see such a lot of talent in the officers as well as among the children of the IPS officers who just stole our hearts. The energy and vibe of the place was so positive that we were filled with a new energy to get back to duty”, said IPS officer and secretary of the IPS Association Simala Prasad.
Semi classical dance on Afreen Afreen by Divyashri Sagar and solo dance performance by Radhika Tiwari, daughter of IPS Shradha Tiwari and Dia Iqbal, daughter of IPS Riyaz Iqbal were loved by the audience.
Zumba dance performance by Tanmay Rao, Nidhi Singh and contemporary dance by Madhur and Ojas Shayawar filled the audience with enthusiasm.
After the individual performances, teams of the four zones also participated in group performances, winning points for their zones.
