Foetus found in women’s bathroom at MY hospital
Indore: A foetus was found inside a women’s bathroom near the emergency ward of MY Hospital in Indore on Friday morning, prompting a police investigation and raising questions over security arrangements at the state’s largest govt healthcare facility.
The foetus was discovered after a few people entered the bathroom located opposite the emergency ward. They immediately alerted a security guard, following which hospital staff and sanitation workers reached the spot and brought it out.
ACP Tushar Singh said preliminary information suggests the foetus was around three months old. It was kept in the hospital’s CHMO room before being sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination.
