JABALPUR: In a tragic incident that occurred on Monday in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh, five individuals lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries when a tractor-trolley overturned. The accident took place in the village of Tinheta Deori, which falls under the jurisdiction of Chargavan police station, as reported by city superintendent of police (CSP) Sunil Nema to PTI.
Among the deceased were four boys, aged between 10 and 15 years, and the 18-year-old driver of the tractor-trolley. Two other children were injured in the accident. According to the official, the children were transporting a water tank to a wedding when the incident occurred.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver was operating the tractor recklessly, which led to him losing control of the vehicle, resulting in it overturning. Additional superintendent of police Suryakant Sharma identified the deceased as "Anup Barkade (12), Rajveer Gond (13), Devendra Barkade (15), Lucky Markam (10) and Dharmendra Thakur," who was driving the tractor.
The two injured children, identified as Dalpat (12) and Vikas (10), are currently receiving treatment at the medical college hospital. The police are conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.
