Jilted lover burns Rs 5 lakh cash he stole for getting married after girl rejects his proposal
SEHORE(MADHYA PRADESH): BHOPAL: A 25-year-old cashier set Rs 5 lakh on fire after a girl rejected his marriage proposal; and made two suicide attempts, including one inside jail.

Goyal escaped with Rs 6.7 lakh from the company's locker on April 18. He left Rs 1.2 lakh, in smaller denominations, in the office and escaped with around Rs 5 lakh to Harda.
“Goyal was in one-sided love with his brother’s sister-in-law and wanted to marry her. He reached Harda with the money and proposed the girl for marriage, however she rejected his proposal. In the meantime, a complaint was made at the police station by the branch manager of the Spandana micro finance company. A police team was sent to Harda to arresting Goyal,” Nasrullahganj police station in-charge Niranjan Sharma told TOI.
He added, “hurt by rejection, Goyal first burned Rs 5 lakh notes that he had stolen from his company and was going to commit suicide. However, he was saved by his brother. Meanwhile, police team also reached there and the family members handed over Goyal to the police."
“He again attempted suicide inside jail on Friday. Jitendra Goyal climbed atop a ‘peepal’ tree inside jail. First he hanged himself with the tree using his legs, and then jumped with his head down. He has sustained severe injuries and has been referred for treatment at Hamidia hospital in Bhopal for treatment,” Shrama said.

, 25, resident of Harda, who worked as cashier in Spandana micro finance company, is currently admitted at Hamida hospital in Bhopal under serious condition.Goyal escaped with Rs 6.7 lakh from the company's locker on April 18.
