Livelihood mission curbing poverty among women: CM
Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday said that efforts are being made for women empowerment in Madhya Pradesh. Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahana Yojana is one of these efforts.Chouhan was interacting with the presidents of cluster-level organisations of self-help groups (SHGs) in the auditorium of Samatva Bhawan located at the residence office on Friday.“The income of women under Livelihood Mission in the state should be at least Rs 10,000 per month, so that they can join the Lakhpati Club and lead them towards prosperity,” Chouhan.While interacting with the “sisters” of Aajeevika Mission regarding Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, Chouhan added that Aajeevika Mission is working as a powerful medium of curbing poverty among women. The mission is creating awareness among the women. Today as their confidence and trust is rising and their respect has increased in the society, the chief minister said.Efforts are being made to connect the women, who are not associated with the livelihood mission. “Women have to strengthen their life with self-confidence and hard work. They are being organised by linking them with Ladli Bahana Sena. This army will help sisters to get the benefits of the government welfare schemes. Along with this, it will also be effective in stopping the injustice against the sisters. Ladli Bahane are like a family,” he said.
