Love marriage: Girl’s kin, UP cops create ruckus

Bhopal: A matter similar to the much-publicized family feud between BJP MLA Rajesh Mishra and his daughter Sakshi Mishra over her love marriage with Ajitesh Kumar was reported in the city on Saturday.

An Allahabad-based girl married a Bhopal-based engineer here on July 5 against the wishes of her family, following which her father, grandfather and others reached the boy’s house in Kolar locality with UP Police after getting information of the marriage and created a ruckus. The boy’s mother fell ill due to it and had to be hospitalized. The girl’s family members were adamant that they be allowed to meet her once but the boy’s father maintained having no information about his son or the daughter-in-law.

According to information, Rituraj Singh Rajput, (30), a resident of A-35 Rajharsh Colony, Kolar, is an engineer in a company in Bhuj, Gujarat. His father BK Rajput is assistant director in the Mandi board. Rituraj had gone to meet Diksha Agrawal, a resident of Allahabad, on July 4. Both had come to Bhopal on July 5 and got married at a religious institute at Bhadbhada. The next day, they got their marriage registered at BhopaL Municipal Corporation (BMC).

According to information, Diksha’s father Pawan Agrawal is a businessman in Allahabad along with his father Murarilal, sister Seema and brother-in-law Manoj, reached Bhopal upon getting information of the marriage on July 7. They went to Rituraj's house to meet Diksha and when BK Rajput told them that Rituraj and Diksha were not there, Diksha’s family allegedly misbehaved with Rituraj’s.

BK Rajput claimed that he has been receiving constant threats ever since. According to information, on Saturday around 3.15 pm, Pawan Agrawal and others along with UP Police, reached BK Rajput's house once again and created ruckus after he did not allow them to search his house telling that Rituraj and Diksha was not home. Amid the ruckus, Rajput’s wife fell ill and was rushed to a hospital.
