, who had been allegedly supplying party drug MDMA (Ecstasy) in

Bhopal

for years. Police recovered 13 gm MDMA drug from her possession.

said that the nabbed woman has been identified as Rehana Khan, 45, a resident of 504-Alamdin Building, Dogri, Mumbai. Her husband Salim Khan was also a hardcore drug supplier and after his death Rehana took over his gang and started supplying the drugs. She was caught from Habibganj railway station parking near platform number-1 when she came to Bhopal to supply the chemical drugs. Her accomplice, who was in possession of large quantity of chemical drugs, managed to escape.

Jharia said that Rehana is the leader of the gang which had been supplying MDMA and other chemical drugs in the city for years. Many drug peddlers nabbed by police in the past revealed her name. Her gang is also said to have contacts with many international drug suppliers. ASP also said that crime branch teams were monitoring Rehana for the past two months, but she frequently changed her SIM cards and address to dodge the cops. In fact, she escaped the crime branch team thrice in the recent past. Just 10 days ago, she dodged the police team in train to Mumbai. By the time police got her location, she had boarded another train in Khandwa.

ASP said that the woman was in contact with all the major drug suppliers in the city and even college students. Cops said that she supplied party drug MDMA to students and once they became addicted to the substance, she used them as peddlers to find new clients. He also claimed that they have successfully busted a major supply chain of chemical drugs in the city, which will help them control the drug menace to a large extent. Jharia said the accused is being interrogated further to ascertain the main source of chemical drugs.
