Anjali Vyas

from Gandhi Sagar, Rajasthan read that she had got selection to a

BDS

seat in a private medical college. Her joy knew no bounds on Thursday. First SMS said she had to appear for counselling by 5pm on Friday. After 15 minutes, she received another message that said if she did not appear by designated time, she might lose opportunity of being selected this year.

Left with no other option, Anjali with her parents rushed to Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal after covering 334 kilometres in six-seven hours by road and train. Incidentally, she had boarded a train without reservation. After much effort, she reached the venue at 6am. "It was not easy to arrange money in such a short time and be here. I was looking for option in third counselling, if I got a seat in government college or for MBBS. But as soon as I clicked to see vacancies and fill up choices, it flashed that my data has been deleted. I had invested hours studying and all data vanished in a minute. They can't play with our lives like this."
