Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Thursday that all preparations for "Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas" to be held in Indore should be completed on time.
"Organise the convention in a better way. This is a good opportunity; use it to position MP as a brand and promote the achievements of Madhya Pradesh. Indore is number 1 in cleanliness and that must be showcased to the guests", he said. The event is proposed to be held in Indore from January 8 to 10, 2023.
Chouhan was reviewing the preparations for the "Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas" convention at Mantralaya. Chief secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, additional chief secretary health, Mohammad Suleman, principal secretary, culture and tourism, Sheo Shekhar Shukla and senior officers were present at the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that the first "Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas" was celebrated in the year 2003. So far, there have been 16 "Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas". The President will give "Pravasi Bharatiya Samman" in the closing ceremony. tnn
