Promotions of police constables: HC summons SP Dindori

Bhopal/Jabalpur: Not satisfied with the reply presented over promotion of police constables in Dindori district, MP high court has summoned the district SP Dindori. A petition filed by 13 constables said that they have been serving in the police department for 20 to 25 years and are still posted as constables while their juniors have got promotion to the post of ASIs and SIs since 2012. The MP government has been trying to evade replying, they alleged adding that the reply it presented now is just formality. They prayed to the court to give a directive for their promotion. Following preliminary arguments, the bench of Justice Vivek Agrawal issued the order summoning SP Dindor on next date of hearing. The case would now come up for hearing on May 11. TNN
