Rajgarh election results 2024 live updates: BJP's Rodmal Nagar wins
NEW DELHI: The 2024 Lok Sabha election results for the Rajgarh constituency in Madhya Pradesh have been announced. Rodmal Nagar of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious, securing 758,743 votes, which is 146,089 more than the runner-up, Digvijaya Singh of the Indian National Congress, who obtained 612,654 votes.
The other candidates in the fray, including Dr. Rajendra Suryavanshi of the Bahujan Samaj Party, Ashok Pawar of the Samata Samadhan Party, Jitendra Singh of the National World Leader Party, Dinesh Razawat of the Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram), and several independent candidates, failed to make a significant impact, with each securing less than 14,000 votes.
The NOTA (None of the Above) option received 7,260 votes, which is 751,483 fewer than the winning candidate. The results demonstrate a clear mandate in favor of Rodmal Nagar and the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Rajgarh constituency.
The Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituency is situated in the heart of Madhya Pradesh. The polling date for the Rajgarh Constituency was scheduled for May 7, phase 3 of the Lok Sabha Election.
On March 16, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The voter turnout for the Rajgarh in the 2024 elections stood at an impressive 76.04%, according to the ECI, indicating the active voter engagement prevalent in the constituency.
It encompasses 8 legislative assembly segments, Chachoura, Raghogarh, Narsinghgarh, Biaora, Rajgarh, Khilchipur, Sarangpur (SC), and Susner. The constituency was established in 1952.

Prominent contenders for the seat include Rodmal Nagar representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) two-term sitting MP from Rajgarh district, and Digvijaya Singh contesting on behalf of the Indian National Congress (INC).

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rodmal Nagar of the BJP won by 822,225 votes. The runner-up was Mona Sustani of the INC, with a victory margin of 430,065 votes. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rodmal Nagar of the BJP secured 596,201 votes, defeating Amlabe Narayan Singh of the INC by a margin of 228,419 votes.
