Bhopal: City police have made tight security arrangements for
Holi and
Shab-e-Barat
festivals to be celebrated on Friday . Around 3500 cops, including an additional force of special armed forces (
SAF
) and special task force (STF), would be deployed at various check-points to maintain law and order.
The police will set up more than 800 small picket-points across the city and police patrolling vehicles from police stations concerned would maintain vigil round-the-clock in their jurisdiction areas. Two drone-fitted cameras will be used to monitor the situation in case of any gatherings to keep the crowd under check and swift action will be taken in case of any law and order situation. Police force would be deployed near water bodies along with divers to keep a check around lakes, ponds and others.

(public meetings) have already been held at each police station to maintain dialogue with residents in which senior officers asked people to celebrate the festival with peace and harmony.
