Madhya Pradesh horror: 7-year-old girl gangraped, murdered in Khargone

KHARGONE: A seven-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered by a relative and his friend in Oon police station area of Khargone district, police said.

Khargone SP Ravindra Verma said the incident occurred Tuesday night when the victim's father sent the Class 1 girl to buy ice candy from a shop 100 metres away. "The accused were sitting in a vacant shop opposite, watching pornographic films on mobile phone which triggered their premeditated plan," he said.

As the girl returned, the inebriated duo abducted her, took her to a barn 25 metres away in a stackyard, raped and strangled her to death. To conceal the body, they threw it in a straw pile covered with a plastic tub, the SP said.

The suspects went to a nearby river to clean their clothes and bodies before returning. When family and police with FSL, fingerprint experts and dog squad began search, the accused joined pretending concern,” Verma said.

“They found the body and brought it back.” Suspicion arose from their erratic behaviour and fresh blood stains on one suspect’s clothes. Sustained interrogation led to confession. “Mobile search history confirmed porn viewing just before abduction,” the SP added.

The victim, only daughter among five siblings, had completed Anganwadi and joined Class 1. Post-mortem analysis was done on Wednesday and the body was handed over to the family. A case has been registered under BNS and POCSO Act.
