Shivraj Singh Chouhan brings smiles to prisoners, with 1-month amnesty, freebies

BHOPAL: The Janmashtmi became more joyful for prisoners in

Bhopal

Central Jail when chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced 30-day remission in their jail term. Due to the announcement, it is expected that five prisoners who were going to be released after a month will be released in a couple of days.

In another gift to captives, the CM announced to increase their daily remuneration by Rs 10, which was Rs 110 till now. Women prisoners will be provided daily-use products like bindi, bangles and sindoor while male prisoners will be provided shaving kits, brush and toothpaste.

The CM also inaugurated two open jails in Sagar and Indore. Among all the cultural programmes, CM liked the

orchestra

performance the most, and asked jail officials to send the orchestra team to CM house for performance during Janmashtmi celebration.

Sadhna Singh, the CM's wife, ministers Antar Singh Arya and

Vishwas Sarang

were also present.
