Congress to give guarantees for welfare schemes
The Congress manifesto committee in Jaipur has decided to include time-bound guarantees of public welfare schemes in their manifesto. The party believes that by giving these guarantees, it will be easier to reach the people. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also emphasized the importance of guarantees and social security. The party aims to focus on social security as the main thrust area of their manifesto. They also noted that a majority of the promises made in their last manifesto have been fulfilled.
MC apprises people of welfare schemes
The municipal corporation in Ludhiana organized camps to educate residents about various government schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM). The aim of the camps was to inform residents about the benefits and loans available under these schemes. In other news, Ludhiana, Ghaziabad, and other cities in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh have been selected to receive electric buses under the PM e-Bus Sewa scheme, aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
Cabinet doubles honorarium to journos, approves welfare schemes
The Madhya Pradesh government has increased the monthly honorarium for senior journalists and approved various welfare schemes including health and housing. The honorarium for senior journalists has been doubled to Rs 20,000. In the event of a journalist's death, their kin will receive a lump sum payment of Rs 8 lakh. Financial assistance for common and serious diseases has also been increased. The cabinet has approved the new "Housing Loan and Education Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme 2023" for accredited journalists. The cabinet also approved other schemes related to road construction, water supply, and investment promotion.
