Sidhi election results 2024 live updates: BJP's Rajesh Mishra wins
NEW DELHI: The results of the election in Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh, have been announced. Dr. Rajesh Mishra of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious with 583,559 votes, securing a margin of 206,416 votes over his nearest rival, Kamleshwar Indrajit Kumar of the Indian National Congress, who obtained 377,143 votes.
Ajay Pratap Singh of the Gondvana Gantantra Party finished third with 50,962 votes, followed by Pujan Ram Saket (Babbu) of the Bahujan Samaj Party with 33,656 votes. Laxman Singh Bais, an independent candidate, secured 30,662 votes, while Sanjay Namdeo of the Communist Party of India received 20,290 votes.
Several other independent candidates and representatives from various parties, including Bhagwan Prasad Tiwari, Sunil Tiwari, Shyamlal Vaish, Kailash Prasad Verma, Mahendra Bhaiya, Dashrath Prasad Bais, Narayan Das Shah "Mulniwasi," Daddi Yadav, Smt. Tara Devi Singh, Ramsahay Sahu, and Ramvishal Kol, also contested the election but failed to make a significant impact. The NOTA (None of the Above) option received 4,216 votes.
The Sidhi Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 29 constituencies in Madhya Pradesh and is a significant electoral battleground. The polling date for Sidhi in the 2024 election was April 19, phase 1 of the Lok Sabha election.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on March 16.

The voter turnout recorded for the Sidhi Constituency was 56.50 percent, as per the data released by the Election Commission of India.
The Sidhi constituency comprises 8 Legislative Assemblies, Churhat, Sidhi, Sihawal, Chitrangi (ST), Singrauli, Devsar, Dauhani (ST), and Beohari (ST). The constituency was established in 1952.
The major candidates in the 2024 Lok Sabha election for Sidhi, are Dr. Rajesh Mishra representing the Bhartiya Janta Party, and Kamleshwar Patel the face of the Indian National Congress.

In 2019, Riti Pathak of Bhartiya Janta Party won with 6,97,212 votes defeating Ajay Arjun Singh of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 2,85,930 votes.
In 2014, Pathak defeated Indrajeet Kumar of the Indian National Congress with difference of 1,08,007 votes.
