State to bear fees for Ladli Laxmis’ education in prestigious colleges
Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday that the "Ladli Laxmis" should strive to get admission in medical, IIT, IIM, law schools and other prestigious educational institutions and their fees will be paid by the state government.Chouhan was addressing the state-level "Ladli Lakshmi Utsav" at the chief minister’s residence on the Ladli Lakshmi Day.The chief minister honoured the "Ladli Laxmis" who made excellent achievements. Jhabua's Muskan Bhuria who won gold medal in archery competition at the state level, Seoni's Himani Baghel got the Inspire award at the state level, Ratlam's Keshvi Tiwari in Karate at the international level and Ratlam's Bhavya was awarded with trophy and certificate for the achievement made at the national level in Kho-Kho and Anushka Dubey of Bhopal, who won a gold medal in the open national competition in Taekwondo.Chouhan also released a booklet published on the effective evaluation of the scheme and distributed honours and certificates to the girls. Along with this, prizes were also given to the gram panchayats declared Ladli Lakshmi friendly.Medical education minister Vishwas Sarang, Bhopal MP Pragya Singh Thakur, MLA Krishna Gaur, Mayor Malti Rai, district panchayat president Ramkunwar along with a large number of beneficiaries of Ladli Lakshmi scheme and their guardians were present during the event.Earlier, the chief minister welcomed "Ladli Lakshmis" at the venue by showering flowers on them.
