Sudden rain hits power in parts of Bhopal

BHOPAL: Sudden rain in the city led to power tripping in several areas. Supplies however resumed soon, say officials. The areas which were affected are localities on Hoshangabad Road, Shahpura and Bawadiya Kalan.

General manager (city circle), MKVVCL, Zahid Khan said, "It was a sudden rain after a long time which led to tripping in some area. Feeders were shut for sometime and then the supplies resumed. No major fault was reported in the city. Supplies normalised by night".

Sources said that whenever there is rain after long time, if affects the power supply for sometimes. Complaints pour in as feeder tripping leads to large number of consumers getting affected at once, said sources.
