Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy is basking in glory as 10 of its promising youngsters secure coveted spots in India’s Under-18 men’s and women’s teams for the high-octane Hockey Series against Australia, scheduled for May 15-20 at Bhopal’s turf.

The men’s lineup features goalkeeper Ayush Rajak holding fort in defense, flanked by defenders Ansh Bahutra and Karan Gautam. Midfield maestro Avi Manikpuri will orchestrate plays, while forwards Siddharth Ben and Gazi Khan unleash attacking prowess.

The women’s squad shines no less, with Sneha Dawade, goalkeeper Mahak Parihar, Nammi Geethasri, and Nausheen Naz—all academy alumni—poised to dazzle on the international stage.

Sports Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang lauded the squad’s grit and the coaches’ guidance, crediting the state govt’s facilities. “These warriors will raise the tricolor with pride—go conquer glory,” he said.
