8-yr-old girl killed, brother hurt in wall collapse

Keonjhar: An eight-year-old girl died and her five-year-old brother was injured when a mud wall collapsed at their residence in Keonjhar district's Badarampas village on Tuesday morning.The deceased, Snehalata Sahu, a Class II student, was having breakfast before heading to school for her annual examination when the incident occurred. The mud wall of their kutcha house suddenly gave way, crushing her underneath.Villagers immediately rushed both children to the Anandpur sub-divisional hospital, where doctors declared Snehalata dead on arrival. Her brother, Sai Prasad, is currently undergoing treatment."The local tehsildar has visited the site and is investigating the incident," said Nilamadhav Suna, sub-collector of Anandapur.
